Teen Volunteering

Volunteer at MAPL

Teens in grades 7-12 are invited to volunteer at the library. There is an opportunity to earn volunteer hours each month ranging from letter writing, to program prep, to straightening up library spaces. Each month’s volunteer event is listed on the Youth Services program calendar.

Summer Volunteering

During the Summer, teens can volunteer at the library by working at our summer reading table. Volunteers will help children check in with their reading logs and issue raffle tickets for Summer Reading prizes.

Sign up for Summer Volunteering begins each year on May 1st. The program runs for eight weeks, beginning in June and ending in August. Please speak to a librarian at the Children’s Desk to apply and schedule your volunteer shifts.

~24 hour online request turnaround

If you don't already have a library card, stop by the library to register - or you can complete our online form and we will provide you with a card number and PIN within about 24 hours.
